Job description
An immediate opening for a Physician Assistant or Pathologists’ Assistant with strong pathology experience, specifically in grossing large specimens. This role provides urgent coverage due to FMLA leave through October 15, with potential ongoing dates available through the end of the year. The position is ideal for professionals experienced in surgical pathology workflows and gross examination of complex specimens.
Job Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely specimen processing.
• Maintain high standards of specimen handling and documentation.
• Adhere to laboratory safety and quality control protocols.
• Support continuity of service during FMLA coverage period and assigned open dates.
Qualifications
• Must have hands-on experience grossing large specimens.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of surgical pathology procedures.
• Availability to cover specified open dates (see below).
Working Hours
• Coverage Dates:
o Through Oct 15 (FMLA coverage)
o Nov 23–30, 2025
o Dec 21, 2025 – Jan 5, 2026
