**Pain Management NP job opening in Augusta, ME**
Located 1 hour from Portland, ME
**Position Details:**
- Full-time, permanent

- Physiatry and Pain Management practice is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join their collaborative team of four physicians, four nurse practitioners, a psychologist, registered nurses and medical assistants.
- Outpatient setting
**Responsibilities:**
- Comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, counseling and education of patients and their families.
- Compassion for individuals with chronic disease and ability to work with the patient to establish healthy boundaries regarding physical and emotional health and social life.
- Ability to work in partnership with the patient to identify treatments for chronic pain, allowing for a safe, fulfilling quality of life.
- Providing continued medical care for patients, as well as performing initial evaluations, history and physicals as needed.
- Working closely with physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition and behavioral pain medicine teams to meet individualized needs.
- The ideal candidate will have rehabilitation experience. This full-time position offers the flexibility to establish a five day work week or four, ten-hour days.
