Job Title: Physician Assistant – Pain Management

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join a rapidly growing outpatient pain management practice. The PA will work collaboratively with physicians to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients suffering from chronic pain conditions including cancer-related pain, spine disorders, joint pain, and other complex pain syndromes.
This role involves patient evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, and procedural support in a patient-focused environment committed to providing high-quality and compassionate care.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
Prescribe medications and manage pharmacologic treatments appropriately
Perform or assist with therapeutic procedures such as trigger point injections and joint injections (training provided)
Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic-guided procedures as applicable
Assist with device implantation surgeries and intrathecal pain pump management
Support surgical procedures and assist the attending physician in the operating room when required
Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and medications
Deliver care through both in-person visits and telemedicine consultations
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR system
Prepare discharge summaries and coordinate referrals to specialists as necessary
Communicate effectively with supervising physicians regarding patient care plans
Participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours and weekend coverage
Triage patient calls and address patient concerns promptly
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulatory requirements
See approximately 20–30 patients per day
Qualifications
Completion of an ARC-PA approved program
Active Arizona Physician Assistant license in good standing
Active DEA registration
BLS and ACLS certification
New graduates are encouraged to apply
Working Hours
Monday – Friday
7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Clinic closed evenings and weekends

Excellent documentation and medical coding accuracy

Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel frequently and lift up to 50 lbs
