About the Role
  • Take a thorough patient history of pain and prior treatments along with performing a thorough physical examination to obtain an accurate diagnosis or diagnoses. Devise an accurate treatment plan based on this data.
  • Read x-rays, CT scans and MRIs to help diagnose and treat patients.
  • Learn to become proficient in educating patients on pre- and post-procedure needs and expectations. Become proficient and knowledgeable on the procedures the physicians do and be able to explain to patients.
  • Learn to become proficient in variable office procedures including- trigger point injections, intrathecal pump refills, botox, and joint injections.
  • Be able to appropriately triage patients as well as answer phone calls and address provider inbox messages to help with patient care.
  • Stay up- to -date with the advancements in the interventional pain management field via weekly provider educational sessions, webinars, dinner presentations and conferences. Keep up-to-date with CMEs
  • Work collaboratively with the other physicians, advanced practice providers in the practice as well as nursing and ancillary staff
