PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This individual will be equipped with specialized training in medical documentation, billing optimization, reputation management, workflow improvement, and IT support. They will be tasked with optimizing and assisting high productivity physicians. This individual will integrate themselves into the physician’s current workflow and work collaboratively– with a primary goal of enhancing productivity and efficiency which ultimately improves patient care.

The position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Billing Optimization
  • Reputation Management
  • Workflow Improvement

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES needed in addition to Essential Functions:

Clinical Workflow Optimization

  • Working side by side with physician as part of the clinical team in direct patient care
  • Clinical Day problem solving
    • Tech, fillings gaps in workflow etc.
  • Liaison for strategic partnerships with other departments and vendors

Medical Documentation

  • Documentation efficiency - Improving patient care and interprofessional communication.

Billing optimization:

  • Decrease need/time on retro-authorizations, ensure compliant billing

Reputation Management

  • Improve physicians web presence to improve new patient acquisition.
  • Improve physician review capture
  • Assist team with special projects as assigned (Physician Committee’s)
  • Organize own work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines and follow-up on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

2-3 years of experience in an office setting.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

good computer skills (EMR, MS Office); good communication skills (written and oral);ability to work independently and as part of a team.
