We are looking for a PA or NP for our Orthopedics department to see patients in the office, round on admitted patients, and to be a first assist in the OR since one of our PAs is being deployed. Details include:

  • Dates needed: Orientation starting around 10/4 and working October 8 – March 18, 2022.
  • Schedule: 32 bookable hours and 8 administrative hours. Bookable hours would include office hours, time spent on rounding on admitted patients, and first assist hours. OR vs office hours varies per week.
  • 2 nights per week of beeper call, not ‘in-house’ but must be within 30 miles to respond. Surgeons on secondary/backup call.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience
  • BLS and DEA required; ACLS preferred
  • COVID vaccination required

Practice Details:

  • 3 Surgeons and 2 PAs (the locum would be covering for one of the PA’s Military LOA)
  • 4 Medical Assistants
  • Would expect to see up to 18 patients in the office/day, and up to 10 surgeries per week
  • EMR System: CPSI in the Hospital and Allscripts in the practices; currently looking to convert to Allscripts in the Hospital
  • We’d prefer a candidate who as a NH license, as this would help credential more quickly. If they do not have a NH license, we could accept a temp or LT but we expect a perm to be issued at the November NH Board of Medicine/Nursing Meeting.
