Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Surgery Orthopedic
Job Details:
6-8 month contract covering military leaveMonday through Friday schedule with OR coverage Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; clinic coverage Wednesday; and administrative duties Friday
Hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with morning rounding and occasional weekend coverage
See approximately 20-25 patients per day in clinic
Patient population includes orthopedic patients, primarily teenagers and adults with no age restriction
First assist in the OR for total joint replacements, fracture repairs, foot/ankle, shoulder, knee, hip, hand/wrist, and general orthopedic procedures
Skills required include OR assist, clinic experience, casting/splinting/DME application, and joint injections
EMR system is EPIC Excellian
1 clinical support staff member provided on clinic days
Minimum 1 year of experience required with at least 1 year of OR experience; prior orthopedic or sports medicine experience preferred
Active MN PA or NP license required along with DEA and CSR
BLS certification required; NCCPA certification required upon hire
