Permanent Physician Assistant - Surgery - Orthopedic
Position Type: Permanent
Specialty: Physician Assistant - Surgery - Orthopedic
Location: Brattleboro, VT.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary)
Position Details:
Patient Population: Musculoskeletal and Orthopedic Patients
Setting: Clinical and Surgical Settings
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic and imaging studies
- Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management and follow-up care
- Educate patients and families regarding orthopedic conditions and treatment plans
- Perform orthopedic-related procedures including joint injections and other office-based procedures
- Participate in rotational call coverage
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, and ancillary departments

- Ancillary Departments
On-Call/Weekends: Rotational call schedule 1:4 (varies)
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery – Required
- Current Vermont PA-C License (or willingness to obtain) – Required
- Most Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) – Required
- CPR Certification – Required
