Job description
Health Care System seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their orthopedic sports team. The Physician Assistant will work directly with a top Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. The position will be a split between lower Westchester and uptown in Manhattan. They have a very busy practice that includes shoulders, elbows and knee cases. The doctor serves as the sports doctor for Division I College. The Physician Assistant will work both in the clinic and OR and will run their own orthopedic clinic. The position is Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with no call or weekends.
Responsibilities include: patient evaluations, injections, removing casts and pins, reductions, consultation, rounds and patient evaluation and education, writing prescriptions and reviewing lab results. Candidates must be organized, a self-starter and able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
This position requires PANCE certification and a NY license and if a new graduate, they must have an orthopedic rotation. Prefer candidates from the NYC region.
