Job description Experienced Orthopedic APRN Opening – Putnam, Connecticut Location: Putnam, CT Type: Full-Time, Permanent Specialty: Orthopedics (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) Schedule: Day Shift – 40 Hours Seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join the Orthopedics team in Putnam, Connecticut. This role will lead and coordinate the Total Joint Program, managing patient care from pre-operative evaluation through post-operative recovery and discharge. Position Highlights: Full-time day shift position (40 hours per week) Lead coordination of the Total Joint Program Collaborative orthopedic care environment Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing staff, and case management Participate in Joint Academy Committee leadership and program development Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the total joint program Coordinate care for all total joint patients from pre-operative evaluation through post-operative recovery Participate as an active member of the Joint Academy Committee Maintain and update policies, procedures, and patient education materials Complete pre-operative examinations including diagnostics, labs, and consultations Coordinate care with anesthesia and surgical teams Manage post-operative orders and discharge instructions Work with nursing staff and case management to ensure timely patient discharge Monitor patient progress and validate clinical goals Educate staff regarding updates to orthopedic patient care processes Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse and APRN in the State of Connecticut Master’s degree in Nursing required Bachelor’s degree required Preparation in nursing management preferred Minimum seven years nursing experience preferred Minimum two years leadership experience preferred Compensation & Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Pharmacy plan Basic and supplemental life insurance Short- and long-term disability coverage Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account Accident and critical illness coverage 401(k) plan with employer contribution Vacation time and sick days Paid holidays Education reimbursement Pet insurance Additional employee benefits
