Job description
Well-established Orthopedic Group seeks to add a full-time Physician Assistant to their team. The position will include both the OR and the clinic. The Physician Assistant will support a Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon that has a very busy orthopedic practice. This doctor’s specialty includes total knees and hips, general as well as fractures and general cases. Responsibilities include providing first assist, running a clinic, reductions, patient evaluation and education, pre and post-H&P’s, injections (small joints and bursa), consultation, and reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. This position has minimal or no weekends. The doctor will train a new graduate with an orthopedic rotation.
The location is in the beautiful Palm Springs, California area. This area is a MECCA for golf and tennis. There is great all year-round outdoor living along with a reasonable cost of living for the state of California. Base salary is open and depends on experience, overtime after a 40-hour work week and a production bonus. Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package.
