Health Care System seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their orthopedic sports team. The Physician Assistant will work directly with a top Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon in Manhattan. They have a very busy practice that includes shoulders, elbows and knee cases. The doctor serves as the sports doctor for Division One College. The Physician Assistant will work both in the clinic and OR and will run their own orthopedic clinic. The position is Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with no call or weekends. The position will be focused in Manhattan with some light travel to lower Westchester.

Responsibilities include: patient evaluations, injections, removing casts and pins, reductions, consultation, rounds and patient evaluation and education, writing prescriptions and reviewing lab results. Candidates must be organized, a self-starter and able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

This position requires PANCE certification and a NY license and if a new graduate, they must have an orthopedic rotation with sports. Prefer candidates from the NYC region.

Compensation: Excellent compensation, plus bonus potential. Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package provided including paid education for doctorate, health care, dental, pension etc.
