Orthopedic Spine Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Opportunity
Location: Rochester, MN
Setting: Outpatient with Inpatient Consults
Employment Type: Full-Time, permanent position
Schedule: Monday–Friday, No weekends, no call
Position Highlights
* Non-operative spine-focused role within a high-volume orthopedic spine program
* No intra-operative responsibilities
* No nights, weekends, or after-hours call
* Mix of autonomous practice and collaborative team-based care
* Opportunity to participate in research, education, and publications
Clinical Responsibilities
* Independently evaluate and manage non-operative spine conditions
* Perform patient workups, follow-up visits, and ongoing care management
* Lead spine patient triage to improve access and care efficiency
* Conduct in-person and telehealth visits
* Communicate directly with patients regarding imaging, test results, and treatment plans
* Support surgical spine services by facilitating appropriate referrals
* Provide inpatient care for post-operative spine patients
Practice Environment
* Work alongside spine surgeons, fellows, residents, and allied health professionals
* Balanced outpatient and inpatient responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits
* Compensation range: $117,520 – $163,987 annually

Qualifications
* Nurse Practitioner
* Master’s degree from an accredited NP program
* Active RN and NP licensure in Minnesota
* FNP, ACNP, or ANP certification
* Physician Assistant
* Graduate of an accredited PA program
* Active PA certification and Minnesota licensure
* DEA eligibility required
* BLS required, ACLS preferred
* Orthopedic or spine experience preferred
* 1–2 years of clinical or surgical experience preferred
* Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
* Ability to practice independently while collaborating closely with surgeons
