Ability to perform surgical assists and orthopedic procedures
Schedule & Call:
-
Full-time, day shift
-
Shared call (schedule TBD; includes weekday, weekend, holiday, and 24-hour call rotation)

Occasional weekend work
-
Must reside in the immediate local area
Core Clinical Skills:
-
Surgical first assist
-
ED orthopedic consults
-
Inpatient floor rounding
-
Pre-op and post-op management
-
Ordering tests, prescribing meds, documenting progress/discharge notes
-
Interpreting labs and diagnostics
-
Joint/bursa aspirations, fracture reductions, wound care, digital blocks, regional anesthesia
-
Minor outpatient procedures
-
Assist in surgery (closures, appliances, delegated tasks)
-
Primary orthopedic call for ED and inpatient units
-
Hospital-employed position
-
Work closely with 2–3 surgeons
-
High-caliber, collegial orthopedic service line
-
Custom orientation based on experience
-
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds
-
Engage in quality, safety, documentation, and research initiatives
-
Able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 75 lbs
-
Adequate hearing/vision; fine motor skills
-
Ability to function under stress and in emergent situations
-
Strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills
-
Proficient in EMR workflow (Epic)
