As an Orthopedic Physician Assistant in Houston, Texas, you will be inspired by the patients you serve as a valued member of a mission-driven MSK care team. We partner with health plans and risk-bearing providers to deliver value-based, evidence-driven musculoskeletal care that improves outcomes, reduces total cost of care, and elevates patient experience. Position Details

  • Perform initial orthopedic telehealth and in-person evaluations, including diagnosis, ordering imaging, and referring patients appropriately

  • Conduct in-person orthopedic exams and perform injections within partnered primary care offices across the Houston area

  • Build trust through empathy, clinical expertise, and collaborative decision-making

  • Communicate and coordinate care with physical therapists, physicians, and the broader Icon clinical team

  • Develop personalized treatment plans while partnering with a dedicated care coordinator to guide patients through their MSK journey

  • Contribute to product development by providing feedback on Icon’s technology platform

  • Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday (no nights, weekends, or call)

  • Hybrid work model with remote and in-person responsibilities within Houston

Competencies

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in outpatient orthopedics, with broad subspecialty exposure

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate empathetically

  • Skilled at clinician-to-clinician communication and interdisciplinary collaboration

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, innovative environments

  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple technology and telehealth platforms

  • Experience administering orthopedic injections
