Job Description

As an Orthopedic Physician Assistant with Icon Health in Tampa, Florida, you will be inspired by the patients you serve as a valued member of a mission-driven MSK care team. Position Details

  1. Perform initial orthopedic telehealth and in-person evaluations, including diagnosing MSK conditions, ordering imaging, and referring patients for in-person care when appropriate
  2. Conduct in-person orthopedic exams and administer injections within partnered primary care offices throughout Tampa
  3. Build meaningful patient relationships through empathy, communication, and shared decision-making
  4. Collaborate closely with physical therapists, physicians, and members of the Icon clinical team
  5. Develop personalized treatment plans supported by a dedicated care coordinator to guide patients through their MSK journey
  6. Participate in continuous improvement by providing feedback on Icon’s evolving technology platform
  7. Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday (no nights, weekends, or call)
  8. Hybrid model blending remote telehealth and in-clinic care across the Tampa metro area

Competencies

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in outpatient orthopedics, with experience across multiple subspecialties
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust with patients
  3. Strong clinician-to-clinician communication abilities to coordinate with other providers
  4. Comfortable adopting new technology and working with telehealth platforms
  5. Thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  6. Experience administering a wide range of orthopedic injections
