As an Orthopedic Physician Assistant with Icon Health in Tampa, Florida, you will be inspired by the patients you serve as a valued member of a mission-driven MSK care team. Position Details
- Perform initial orthopedic telehealth and in-person evaluations, including diagnosing MSK conditions, ordering imaging, and referring patients for in-person care when appropriate
- Conduct in-person orthopedic exams and administer injections within partnered primary care offices throughout Tampa
- Build meaningful patient relationships through empathy, communication, and shared decision-making
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists, physicians, and members of the Icon clinical team
- Develop personalized treatment plans supported by a dedicated care coordinator to guide patients through their MSK journey
- Participate in continuous improvement by providing feedback on Icon’s evolving technology platform
- Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday (no nights, weekends, or call)
- Hybrid model blending remote telehealth and in-clinic care across the Tampa metro area
Competencies
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in outpatient orthopedics, with experience across multiple subspecialties
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust with patients
- Strong clinician-to-clinician communication abilities to coordinate with other providers
- Comfortable adopting new technology and working with telehealth platforms
- Thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Experience administering a wide range of orthopedic injections
