NP/PA Orthopedic opportunity in Bowling Green, KY - 1 hour from Nashville TN - Service area of over 100,000 people *The City of Bowling Green is nationally recognized by the US Chamber of Commerce for its economic development performance for seventh consecutive year* Position Details:

  • Full time, permanent opening
  • Seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or APRN to join our established orthopedic team in Bowling Green, KY
  • This role is tailored for a highly motivated provider interested in general Orthopaedic care, with an emphasis on musculoskeletal conditions, sports medicine and spine.
  • The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant works in collaboration with the Physician as well as nursing and support services to provide patient-focused care.
  • Responsible for providing direct patient care within the practice & directive of collaborating physician; assessment and management of patients; day to day implementation and evaluation of the appropriate plan of care; serving as a consultant, researcher, and educator.
  • Independent outpatient clinic caseload
  • Opportunity to assist with procedures and surgeries (if desired)
  • No weekends, no overnight call
  • Work with experienced spine-focused orthopedic surgeons in a collaborative model.
  • Performs history & physicals, documentation of findings; communication with collaborating Provider.
  • Orders appropriate diagnostic testing; reviews results/ informs patients & Providers of findings and required follow up.
  • Patient education and support.
  • Ensures continuity of care for follow-up treatments.
Qualified Candidates: Active Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high focus on quality patient care in teamwork-oriented environment. Previous work experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Experience with orthopaedics or musculoskeletal care preferred -- all candidates will be considered.
