Location: Edison, New Jersey
Compensation: $110,000 – $160,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexibility required for occasional early or late shifts)
Employment Type: Full-time, W2
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Physician Assistant to join our orthopedic team in Edison, New Jersey. This is a hands-on, office-based clinical role focused on the evaluation and treatment of acute musculoskeletal injuries. The ideal candidate will be confident performing in-office procedures, interpreting diagnostics, and educating patients while working collaboratively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary practice.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients presenting with acute musculoskeletal injuries.

Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays and related tests.

Perform in-office procedures such as joint injections, splinting, casting, and minor wound care.

Dispense and properly fit durable medical equipment (DME).

Develop and document comprehensive treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery expectations.

Collaborate closely with physicians, medical assistants, and X-ray technicians to ensure coordinated care.

Maintain strict adherence to medical regulations, HIPAA compliance, and patient safety standards.

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with practice protocols.
Training & Support Structure

Initial period of shadowing a supervising physician for orientation and onboarding.

Transition to independent patient scheduling after training.

Supported by one medical assistant and one X-ray technician.
Qualifications
Required:

Active New Jersey Physician Assistant License.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program.

3–5 years of experience in an orthopedic or musculoskeletal care setting.
Preferred:

Experience with acute injury management, DME fitting, and in-office orthopedic procedures.

Strong communication and patient education skills.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and handle a busy clinical caseload.
