We're seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join a leading orthopedic and sports medicine practice with locations in Wallingford and Westport, Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, outpatient urgent care setting focused on musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.
The ideal candidate is confident, collaborative, and passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You'll work closely with experienced orthopedic physicians and a dedicated clinical team in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage both urgent injuries and ongoing orthopaedic care plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, etc.)
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans in the EMR
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, under physician supervision
• Provide follow-up care, patient education, and health guidance
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient flow
• Participate in community health education initiatives as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• Active Connecticut PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (orthopaedics, urgent care, or emergency medicine preferred)
• Excellent diagnostic, communication, and documentation skills
• Proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
