Job description
Orthopedic Surgeons seek to add a full-time Orthopedic Physician Assistant to directly work with a Total Joints Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. The position includes both the OR and the clinic. This is a very busy Total Joint practice. The Doctor utilizes the most minimally invasive procedures and advanced technology for hip and knee replacements and revisions. Responsibilities include: first assist, running clinics, pre- and post-operative H&P’s, joint injections, writing scripts, removing casts and pins, consultation and patient evaluation and education, reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. There is no ER call for this position.
They are located in a state-of-the-art facility that has EMR, Digital X-Ray and onsite PT/OT, and ASC. The position provides a great work/life balance and no ER or trauma call.
Successful Physician Assistants should be NCCPA-Certified, and have some orthopedic experience.
