Job description
Well-established Single Specialty Orthopedic Group seeks a full-time Physician Assistant. The Physician Assistant will work directly with a Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon both in the OR and the clinic. The successful candidate will handle a strong volume of knee, shoulders and general cases. The Physician Assistant will run their own orthopedic clinic parallel to the doctor. The group has a state-of-the-art facility with ASC, MRI, PT and Digital X-ray. This position provides great work balance with working hours of Monday through Friday (8:30 to 5PM) with no call.
The doctor has an excellent reputation in the community. He utilizes the latest minimally invasive techniques. Responsibilities include: run orthopedic clinic, first assist, consultation, injections, fracture reductions, joint aspirations, and patient evaluation and education, and reviewing lab results in a hospital setting.
Successful candidate should be Board-Certified/Eligible and at a minimum completed an orthopedic rotation.
The Physician Assistant must have excellent interpersonal skills. The area is approximately a 20 plus minute-drive to Baltimore with no traffic and offers good school systems, reasonable cost of living, and is a terrific location to raise a family. Salary is open, plus there is a full benefits package.
