Job Description
We are looking for a Physician Assistant who specializes in the Orthopedic Department. PA’s should have relevant experiences with injuries with bones, joints, ligaments, repair or improving functioning joints and much more. We are looking for a PA who is interested and has the experience to care for patients with orthopedic injuries and assist in pain management health services. Our new PA would be responsible for providing care to existing patients as well as new patients. They would be working closely with our physicians and surgeons to ensure we are providing the appropriate health services and giving the best care possible. Job Responsibilities
Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance patient services.
Must be able to communicate with staff and providers to ensure patient flow is smooth and efficient.
Respond to phone calls, emails, faxes and question in regards to patient concerns.
Prep patient’s charts by ensuring required lab results, scans and/or documentation are present and be able to review relevant exams.
Responsible for up keeping patient’s electronic medical records. May be subjected to data entry, scanning and uploading documents into EMR database.
Document all medical findings during examination and record anticipated treatment.
Perform necessary medical procedures such as triaging, physical examinations and other procedures according to patient’s reason for visit.
Prescribe and refill medication as needed.
Order specific test as needed such as bloodwork, X-Rays, MRI’s etc.
Recommend healthy practices and discuss treatment options with patient.
Identify when a specialist is needed and provide a referral.
Conduct discussions with patients following their initial consultation with the physician.
Assist Physician with all and any necessary examinations and treatments.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3-5 Years of experience as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant
Preferred experience in Orthopedic
Physician Assistant License
Bachelor’s Degree
Must be willing to travel within NYC to company Locations
Worker’s Compensation Authorized
