No on-call responsibilities, expected hours of 10am-6pm
Patients who come through the disability, workers compensation program are treated by one of four orthopedic surgeons, NP/PA will support these providers
Handle pre-op and post-op assessments, consultations and some in-office injections/procedures under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons
Patients have injuries either short-term or chronic conditions
Diagnose medical conditions, manage chronic health issues, refer out most Medicaid long-term care
Expect to see anywhere from 20-30 patients a day
