Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is seeking an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join their department in Montclair, NJ- 20 mi from NYC.

About Your Work:

• Join an established hospital department w/ 10 physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers
• Inpatient-only setting
• Provide consultation to staff, participate in patient rounds and case conferences, and provide education to clinical team members as indicated
• Evaluate treatment and health care plans for effectiveness and modifies per clinical standards and practice protocols
• Assist in surgical procedures, including preoperative patient evaluation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative follow-up care. Surgical first assist in operating room and procedural areas as needed
• Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of research protocols when applicable
• Epic: EMR

Required Experience:

• Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program or Certification from the National Certification for Physician Assistants (PA-C)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Orthopaedic subspecialty
• Preferred: 1-2 years of surgical experience
