A highly successful orthopedic practice in Orange County, California is seeking an experienced physician assistant to join their growing ortho team! Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in orthopedic surgery or another surgical subspecialty, and all candidates must have surgical first-assist experience to be considered. Responsibilities:

Full-time permanent position

Orthopedic Spine Surgery
-
Work one-on-one with a board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon
-
Split time between OR and Clinic - 2 days OR and 3 days clinic
-
First-assist on a variety of complex reconstructive surgeries of the cervical and lumbar spine, disc replacement surgeries, and minimally-invasive spinal surgeries for disc herniations

Conduct independent clinic for pre-op evaluations and post-op follow up visits

Light call schedule - 1 in 8 (shared among all PAs)
Qualifications:

At least 1-2 years of experience in orthopedic spine surgery, neurosurgery, general orthopedic surgery or another surgical subspecialty (required)

Active California Physician Assistant License (required)

DEA License

BLS/ACLS
