Physician Assistant - Orthopaedic Spine Surgery
Locations: Edison, Clifton, and Englewood, NJ
Compensation: Up to $160,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-Time
A leading orthopaedic practice in North/Central New Jersey is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to work directly with one of its orthopaedic spine surgeons. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled PA with first-assist surgical expertise and a strong background in orthopaedic spine care to join a supportive, high-energy team.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform pre- and post-operative evaluations, consultations, and follow-up visits
• Interpret and review diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT)
• Develop and manage individualized patient treatment plans
• Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and recovery
• Collaborate with orthopaedic surgeons, pain management, and physical therapy teams
Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in orthopaedic spine care with OR first-assist experience (recent graduates will not be considered)
• Background: Must have experience in private practice settings (not hospital-based) and familiarity with an out-of-network practice model
• Specialty Knowledge: Extensive experience in spine surgeries and clinical care for MVA, Workers' Comp, and PIP patients
• Credentialing: Must be willing to remove all in-network credentialing before start date due to payer restrictions
