Job for Experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner in Maine

Job for an experienced ONCOLOGY NURSE PRACTITIONER to join a first-rate Cancer Care team in this highly desirable location in southern/coastal Maine, near Portsmouth New Hampshire, just one hour from Boston. This independent medical center has a clinical affiliation with Massachusetts General Hospital and its team of specialists.

PRACTICE DETAILS Join a respected Oncology program providing inpatient and outpatient care through an award-winning 79-bed nonprofit community hospital. You will collaborate with Oncologists to assess, evaluate, treat, and refer patients with a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and providing patient education. In this role, you will combine the key qualities of both nursing and medicine.

As a valuable member of this specialized team, you will provide direct care to medical oncology patients, acting as a patient advocate to coordinate all aspects of cancer care, including psychosocial issues and referrals to outside agencies and resources. Help offer cutting-edge treatments in a community setting, giving patients the same treatments provided in larger academic institutions, close to home, and with personalized attention and care. All the providers here uphold the mission of managing patients in a kind, loving, and compassionate environment. You will be proud to work for a caring organization with state-of-the-art facilities. This Cancer Center has a dedicated facility just half a mile from the hospital campus. Become part of a team that offers a broad range of specialty services to appreciative patients throughout the region, with strong clinical and administrative support.

POSITION DETAILS You will have a convenient weekday schedule, and you will share in the practice call responsibilities. NPs with specific Oncology experience will receive priority attention. You should have current ACLS and BLS certification. A Maine license is NOT required to apply. You will earn a very competitive salary plus hospital benefits including paid relocation to beautiful Maine, paid liability insurance, health insurance, paid time off for sick leave and vacations, paid leave plus a budget for your CME, and more.
