We at Palm Health Resources are seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner to work for a private Oncology practice in Manhattan. Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm. The ideal candidate must have a current Nurse Practitioner License in the state of New York, as well as 1 year of post-graduate experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:

  • Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of clients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
  • Recognizes deviations from normal in the physical assessment. Works in collaboration with a physician in formulating treatment plans for health problems and follow-up.
  • Maintains provision of preventive health services (e.g. screening, risks assessment, immunizations, PAP smears, self-breast exam).
  • Provides symptom management for side effects related to oncologic treatment.
