Our state of the art Cancer Center is seeking a Certified Tumor Registrar to manage the section. You will be responsible for the compliance of the cancer registry; as well as the supervising the daily operations of all registry personnel, contractors and volunteers.

You must be Cancer Registry/Certified Tumor Registrar certified and have managed Cancer Registry personnel to be considered for this position. If you have not managed/supervised Cancer Registrar personnel you need not apply.

Schedule will be full time M-F 8 am-5 pm No Weekend or On-Call requirement

Job description: Establishes and maintains policies for departmental operations. Manages daily operations of the Cancer Registry ensuring the ACOS Cancer Registry standards are maintained. Coordinates the overall Cancer Program compliance with the ACOS Standards, including preparation of the Cancer Committee agenda, reports, minutes and follow up. Provides essential support to Cancer Committee, Administration, and medical staff in the strategic planning, attainment and renewal of program accreditations. Plan and implement of Cancer Program Quality and Performance Improvement studies including criteria, procedures, data collection, data submission, reporting and follow up. Annual Completion of the ACOS Commission on Cancer Survey Application Record (SAR). Manages cancer registry information systems to maintain the data repository and create necessary reporting mechanisms. Plan, create agendas, and coordinate hospital-wide and specialty Tumor Boards and monitor Tumor Board activity for compliance with ACOS Standards. Serves a liaison to the Tumor Board Physician Mediator to resolve issues as needed.

Education Required: Two years college/equivalent, Preferred: Associate Degree or higher in Allied Health field or completion of a NCRA Accredited Formal Education Program

License/Certification Required Certified Tumor Registrar

Experience Required: two years Cancer Registrar Management experience (minimum), Preferred: 3-5 years’ experience working in an ACOS accredited cancer registry program with participation in Commission on Cancer Surveys
