We are seeking a committed PA to provide exceptional support in our outpatient cancer center, helping patients navigate their cancer journeys with expert care and compassion. Key Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive staging workups for oncology patients.
- Formulate and initiate chemotherapy or immunotherapy treatments in collaboration with radiation oncologists and surgical oncology teams.
- Oversee clinical aspects of treatment delivery and infusions.
- Collaborate closely with Nurse Practitioners and other Physician Assistants to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist in coordinating patient care across regional health systems, including Trinity Health, Mayo Clinic, and University of Minnesota.
- Utilize Mosaiq/Meditech EMR to document and manage patient information.
- Support procedures such as bone marrow biopsies (experience preferred but not mandatory).
Required Skills:
- Valid ND license and DEA certification.
- Proven experience in outpatient medical oncology.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to independently manage patient care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- EMR proficiency with Mosaiq/Meditech systems.
- Ability to perform or assist with complex procedures, with preferred experience in bone marrow biopsy.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in radiation oncology or surgical oncology collaboration.
- Experience with tumor registry, supportive care procedures, and patient advocacy.
- Familiarity with outpatient infusion services and chemotherapy protocols.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of oncology clinical experience.
- Prior involvement in outpatient oncology settings preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM; at least three days per week (either Mon-Wed or Tues-Thurs).
- Orientation: $100-110/hour after credentialing, with additional training support.
- Compensation: Hourly rate to be determined, with additional pay for holidays ($300-330) and orientation.
- Credentialing and billing enrollment to be completed promptly.
- Local travel preferred; lodging at recommended hotels.
- Support staff includes experienced RNs, infusion nurses, dietitians, and patient advocates, ensuring professional and collaborative workflow.
- This is a temporary coverage role starting December 18, 2025, with an estimated duration of approximately 90 days.
