- Free-standing cancer center with both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities
- Collaborative team of physicians and APPs
- Strong nursing support, including chemotherapy administration by trained oncology nurses
- EMR: EPIC
🩺 Clinical Focus
- Adult & geriatric patient population
- 65% benign hematology / 35% malignant oncology
- Outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding responsibilities
Average Patient Volume:
- Outpatient: ~15 patients per day
- Inpatient rounding/call: ~20 patients per day
⏰ Call Responsibilities
- First call coverage:
- Tuesday: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM
- Friday: 4:30 PM – Monday 8:00 AM
- On-site inpatient rounding on Saturdays and Sundays
- Call rotation approximately every 5–6 weeks
🧬 Key Responsibilities
- Management of Bone Marrow Transplants
- Blood bank oversight
- Ordering labs and imaging
- Prescribing and treatment planning
- Collaborative care with oncology nursing staff
✅ Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
- Active South Carolina license
- BLS
- DEA
