Oncology Physician Assistant Opportunity
Join a dynamic oncology team at a state-of-the-art, free-standing cancer center in Greenville, SC. We are seeking a locum tenens Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient oncology settings. This role includes handling both benign hematology and malignant oncology cases, with a supportive environment and flexible call schedule.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Call as required: On site inpatient rounding Saturday–Sunday
  • Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
  • Location: Greenville, SC
  • Stipends: Housing, travel, and transportation stipends available for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities

  • Management of bone marrow transplants and blood bank procedures
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and images
  • Prescribe medication and administer treatment, including collaborating with nurse oncologists for chemotherapy

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology (required)
  • Active SC license or ability to obtain one (required)
  • BLS and DEA certification (required)

Working Hours

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Call schedule includes inpatient rounding and phone call management, with rotations every 5-6 weeks

Skills

  • Proficient in managing oncology patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with EPIC EMR system beneficial
