Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients in the field of surgical oncology and plastic surgery. This position offers the opportunity to work in both independent and shared clinic settings, as well as collaborate with a supportive team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in surgical oncology and/or plastic surgery, with a strong emphasis on patient care and procedural skills.

Key Job Details:

  • Number of Patients per Day: Independent clinics typically see approximately 12 patients per day. In shared clinics, patient load ranges from 20 to 30 patients, divided among the team.
  • Support Staff: Daily support includes 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) except on Fridays, 2 Registered Nurses (RNs), and usually a Medical Assistant (MA).
  • Credentialing: Expected duration of 60 to 90 days

Additional Job Specifics:

  • Requirements:
    • Board Certification: Yes; PA candidates must hold a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
    • DEA Certification: Required
    • CSR Certification: Required
    • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Minimum Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 5 years of recent and relevant experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in surgical oncology and/or plastic surgery. Experience in performing procedures such as biopsies, tissue expansion, and wound care is essential. Familiarity with high patient volume oncology practices is preferred, with a particular emphasis on breast oncology experience.
