Occupational Medicine NP/PA Needed – California Central Coast Region north of Greenfield
Start Date: February 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks; locums or locums-to-perm potential
Schedule
Full-time clinical coverage
Monday–Friday, 8:00a–5:00p
Standard 8-hour day shifts
No call
Practice Details
Outpatient occupational health clinic setting
Focus on workplace injury care and employer-based health services
Collaborative clinical environment with support staff on site
EMR system utilized for documentation
Clinical Scope
Provide direct patient care for occupational health and injury-related visits
Serve as Primary Treating Provider for workplace injuries
Evaluate, treat, and manage occupational and injury cases
Perform follow-up visits, return-to-work evaluations, and case management
Document all patient encounters in EMR system
Collaborate with therapists, specialists, and clinical leadership
Communicate with employers regarding injuries and work status updates
Ensure compliance with state regulations and occupational health standards
Participate in clinical workflow, quality improvement, and operational processes
Support clinical documentation, coding, and order completion
Requirements
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Occupational Medicine
Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
Active California license required
DEA required
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
DOT Medical Examiner certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine preferred
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Familiarity with EMR systems preferred
Credentialing
Standard credentialing timeframe applies
Submission must include active license, DEA, and supporting credentials
Location
Located in the California Central Coast region, providing outpatient occupational health services in a structured weekday schedule with a focus on workplace injury care and coordinated clinical management.
