Location: North Carolina (Hybrid/Remote Opportunities Available)**
This role involves examining and treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and work-related health problems as well as performing specialized occupation health exams (including Department of Transportation (DOT) and Sheriff Standard fitness for duty exams). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling acute conditions and a thorough understanding of occupational health requirements.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to deliver high-quality acute and occupational care. This role involves providing in-person evaluations, managing urgent health concerns, performing occupational health screenings, and contributing to the enhancement of clinical operations and content development.
### Key Responsibilities:
Acute Care:
* Conduct in-person evaluations for acute medical conditions.
* Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of urgent health issues (e.g., infections, injuries, sudden illness).
* Implement immediate treatment plans, manage medications, and coordinate referrals.
* Advise on emergency care and appropriate follow-up.
Occupational Medicine:
* Perform pre-employment and periodic physical exams and health assessments.
* Treat and manage work-related injuries and illnesses.
* Develop and oversee return-to-work plans.
* Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with occupational health standards.
Patient Care & Communication:
* Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation.
* Educate patients on acute and occupational health concerns.
* Communicate effectively with patients and collaborate with other healthcare providers.
Administrative Duties:
* Ensure compliance with healthcare and occupational medicine regulations.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical guideline development.
* Maintain secure, confidential management of medical records and data.
Professional Development:
* Stay updated on medical best practices and guidelines, especially in acute and occupational medicine.
* Participate in CME and obtain/maintain relevant certifications.
* Assist in the enhancement of the app s medical features and educational content.

### Qualifications:
Education:
* Completion of an accredited NP program (MSN or DNP) or PA program (Master s Degree required).
Licensure:
* Active, unrestricted license to practice as an APRN in North Carolina OR a PA-C licensed by the NC Medical Board.
* Department of Transportation (DOT) certification (may be obtained post-hire).
Certification:
* National board certification as an FNP or PA-C.
* Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages.
Experience:
* Prior experience in acute care and occupational medicine strongly preferred.
Skills:
* Proficient in managing acute medical conditions and workplace health issues.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
* Experience with telemedicine platforms and EHR systems.
