Wythe County Community Hospital, a proud LifePoint Health facility, is seeking a certified nurse midwife to provide services in Ft. Chiswell and Wytheville Virginia. The applicant should have successfully completed a nurse midwife educational program accredited by the American College of Nurse Midwives and be a licensed nurse practitioner. The ideal candidate will have at least three years experience in the field and be comfortable working independently.
As the county seat of Wythe County and conveniently located at the intersection of Rt.s 77 and 81, Wytheville offers restaurants, shopping, a charming local hotel and local entertainment. Several major cities, including Roanoke, Virginia, Bristol-Kingsport, Tennessee and Winston-Salem, North Carolina are within a two-hour drive or less and offer plenty of opportunities for sports, concerts, fine dining and cultural events.
