A women’s health clinic in Pendleton, Oregon is seeking an experienced Locum Physician Assistant with hospital-based OB/GYN experience. This role involves clinic coverage along with backup call and inpatient responsibilities. The provider will support obstetric and gynecologic care, working closely with on-call physicians to manage routine and emergent cases.
This position requires prior hospital-based midwifery or OB/GYN experience and is not open to new graduates.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform prenatal care and routine OB visits
• Assist with vaginal and emergency deliveries in collaboration with on-call physicians
• Provide postpartum care and patient education
• Perform IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal
• Provide contraceptive counseling and reproductive health management
• Conduct pelvic exams and Pap tests
• Assist OB/GYN physicians with C-sections
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call coverage
Qualifications
• Active Oregon state license
• BLS, ACLS, DEA, and NRP certifications required
• Prior hospital-based OB/GYN or midwifery experience required
• New graduates not accepted
• Home-birth–only experience not accepted
• NPDB Self-Query required (within the last 30 days)
Working Hours
• Weeknight call required
• 24-hour weekend call: 1 week per month
• Approximately 10 shifts per month
