In this pivotal role, you will deliver comprehensive women's health services—ranging from prenatal management and natural deliveries to cervical screenings and contraceptive counseling. Your expertise will be vital in assisting with C-sections, performing IUD and Nexplanon procedures, and managing normal pregnancies, all in a hospital setting with supportive staff and modern EMR systems.
Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license and certification in Oregon.
- Significant hospital-based experience as a midwife or PA in OB/GYN.
- Proven ability to perform prenatal care, deliveries, and gynecological procedures.
- Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to cover varied shifts, including weeknight and weekend call duties.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supporting emergency deliveries and intraoperative procedures.
- Familiarity with Meditech, Centricity, and eClinical EMR systems.
- Prior work in women’s health clinics or hospital settings.
- Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Minimum of 2 years hospital-based OB/GYN experience, including midwifery or PA work in maternity care.
- Demonstrated competence in surgical assistance, including C-section support.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start as early as 01/22/2026, pending credentialing.
- Willingness to work approximately 10 shifts per month on a varied schedule, including call coverage.
- Must be a licensed midwife or PA with hospital experience—no new graduates or home birth-only providers.
- Travel and lodging accommodations may be required; details will be provided consistent with travel policies.
- Must hold all applicable certifications, and be compliant with licensure and credentialing requirements.
