PA Midwife Locum Coverage

Seeking one experienced PA Midwife with hospital-based experience to provide clinic coverage and backup call support.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with weeknight call and 24-hour weekend call one week per month

• Shifts per Month: Approximately 10

• FTE: 1.0

• Location: Pendleton, Oregon

• Setting: Women’s Clinic

Coverage Dates

• March: 1–13, 23–31

• April: 1–8, 18–30

• May: 1–13, 22–31

• June: 1–7, 17–30

• July: 1–13, 22–30

• August: 1–7, 18–31

• September: 1–13, 23–30

• October: 1–9, 19–31

• November & December: All dates open

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope women’s health services (excluding endoscopic procedures)

• Prenatal care and routine OB visits for normal pregnancies

• Natural and emergency deliveries in collaboration with on-call physician

• Postpartum care and patient education

• Routine gynecologic care including pelvic exams and Pap tests

• Contraceptive counseling and management

• IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal

• Assist OB/GYN with C-sections

Patient Population

• Female patients across all age ranges

EMR Systems

• Meditech (hospital)

• Centricity (birth center)

• eClinicalWorks (clinic)

Support Staff

• Medical Assistants and RNs in clinic

• RNs on hospital side

Reason for Coverage

• Additional midwife support needed for rotating OB/GYN call coverage and clinic patient volume

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified PA Midwife (required)

• Active Oregon license (required)

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and DEA certifications (required)

• Hospital-based midwifery experience required (no new graduates or home-birth-only midwives)

• NPDB self-query report dated within 30 days of presentation (required)
