Summary:

Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurosurgery Outpatient Department. The Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) works in collaboration with the physicians to assess the physical needs of patients in the clinic setting. Orders, interpret and records results of clinical tests. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Will support all neurosurgical subspecialties including Spine Surgery, Neuro-oncology (brain, spine & spinal cord tumors), Skull Base Surgery, Cerebrovascular Services (Stroke, Aneurysms) including Endovascular Surgery, Functional Neurosurgery (Pain, Parkinsons, Epilepsy), Peripheral Nerve Surgery.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Outpatient opportunities are available to qualify Advanced Practice Providers with excellent clinical decision-making, exposure to the quality of care measures, and strong procedural skills. Candidates must be board certified and possess or be able to obtain a license in New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of inpatient or outpatient experience, but we encourage new or recent graduates to apply. Shift/Status:

Full-time, Outpatient position. Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm.
