Locum Tenens Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Consult Service

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage for our Neurology Consult Service in Boston, MA. This opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, making it an excellent choice for providers seeking flexible coverage while maintaining work-life balance.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule
• No nights or weekends
• Compensation: $120 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurology consultations and comprehensive neurological assessments.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with neurologists and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and imaging.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement and team-based care initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current Massachusetts NP or PA license, as applicable.
• Current national certification appropriate to the provider's discipline.
• 1–2 years of neurology or related clinical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and proficiency in neurological examinations.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
