Neonatal Nurse Practitioner opportunities in the sunny, university town of Gainesville, FL! Part-Time Benefits Eligible Position with Start Date Bonus or Per Diem Opportunities!

Envision Healthcare is seeking an experienced APRN interested in joining North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC) during an exciting time of expansion. Currently a 12-bed Level II NICU, NFRMC will transform into a 25-bed Level III NICU. We are looking for an experienced NNP with Level III knowledge and skills with comfort practicing in an autonomous environment. Experience with education of RN/RT teams is a plus since there will be a learning curve from Level II to Level III.

Opportunity Details:

  • Staffing Model: 2 Neonatologists, 4.5 NNPs
  • NNPs are responsible for the following:
    • In-house coverage
    • Neo on call at night from home
    • Practitioners round on NICU babies/large number of well newborns
    • Attendance all high-risk deliveries
    • Perform procedures and place PICC lines
  • Schedule: 24-hr shifts
  • NFRMC Info:
    • Current 12-bed Level II NICU – Expanding to 25-bed Level III NICU
    • Average Daily Census NICU: 11/Nursery: 16 – Expected to increase with Expansion
    • Annual Deliveries: 3,000

NFRMC is a 445-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center serving North Central Florida and offering comprehensive cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, neurosciences, minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, weight loss surgery and treatment, women’s health and wound therapy, among other services.
