Permanent Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Opportunity – Belmont, NC
Overview
Full-time permanent Neonatal Nurse Practitioner opportunity
Leadership role in a brand-new Level I nursery opening late 2024
Not a locum position and not accepting new graduates
Practice & Clinical Setting
Level I LDRP nursery with 10 beds
Approximately 600 deliveries annually
Average daily census of 5 newborns
Stabilization and management of newborns requiring transfer to higher-level NICUs
Collaboration with nearby Level III NICU team located approximately 7 miles away
Optional PRN shifts at a Level III NICU may be available but are not required
Schedule & Call
24-hour shifts
In-house rounding during the day
Call taken from home overnight
Attend deliveries when requested
Team Structure
Team of 4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at the Level I nursery
Support from a sister Level III NICU staffed with neonatologists and NNPs

Candidate Requirements
Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner only
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (RN experience does not count)
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing
Active or eligible North Carolina license
DEA required prior to start
Not accepting FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications
Not accepting new graduates
