JOB SUMMARY
Assistant Director Facilities Planning Design and Construction works under the general direction of the Director and Assistant Vice President for Planning, Design, and Construction to coordinate and execute institutional planning, design, and construction initiatives. Responsible for managing a diverse range of projects such as process improvement efforts, oversight and implementation of campus standards, and serving as a liaison for renovation projects.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Education
Bachelor's Degree in related field with an emphasis in healthcare and academic facilities.
- Experience
7 years of experience to include at least
3 years of experience working in a supervisor capacity
Preferred Skills
- Education
Master's Degree
Licensure or Certifications in Project Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or an associated field.
JOB DUTIES
- Manage day to day details on capital project execution and other tasks and ensure the staff is meeting expectations and commitments for cost control/cost accuracy, schedule, quality and customer service.
- Manages A/E teams, construction teams, internal and external project management teams, internal teams, third party consultants, etc. to ensure compliance with design specifications, schedules, and contractual commitments as it pertains to the project.
- Develops and manages project documentation record keeping, financial and activity status reports that are accurate, up-to-date, clear and complete in support of the decision making, issue solving and informing processes of a project.
- Works collaboratively with purchasing in the preparation of necessary documentation for contract award and all procurement needs.
- Manages contractual compliance and relationships for the assigned projects.
- Addresses and manages critical issues impacting project quality and safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
