Overview:
Our surgical practice in Nashville is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide preoperative and postoperative care for a cardiac and surgical patient population. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility, within a collaborative clinical team.

Position Offers:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility
• Competitive salary: $134,000–145,000 per year (DOE), plus productivity bonuses

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients for preoperative surgical clearance, including ordering and reviewing labs and EKGs
• Conduct patient evaluations and comprehensive clinical assessments
• Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Coordinate patient care across specialties and services, monitoring progress and communicating updates with the care team

Qualifications:

• Active, current Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care or cardiac care
• Clinical experience in surgical settings (e.g., cath lab, CVICU, OR, pre-op/post-op) preferred, with EMR proficiency
• Ability to work independently
• Strong clinical judgment, patient management, communication, and collaboration skills
