COMPENSATION:
- $120,000 to $145,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The internal medicine physician assistant (PA) will provide medical services in collaboration with primary care physicians in pursuit of high-quality patient care. The PA will provide full scope adult primary care services including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- obtain and document patient histories as appropriate to chief complaint / reason for visit
- conduct relevant physical exams and evaluate patients, documenting pertinent findings
- diagnose and treat diseases
- manage chronic illnesses
- prescribe medication as needed and in accordance with state and federal regulations
- order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and special examinations or tests
- interpret results of laboratory and other tests
- provide preventative health services, including health education and counseling
- collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care
- attend staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference and types of appointments scheduled.

All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

This position has no weekends, no evenings, and no on-call.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York PA license
- DEA
- 1+ year outpatient primary care experience
