DETAILS:
- Monday - Friday 8a to 5p, no weekends
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Through EOY
- Setting: Outpatient
- FTE: 1.0
- Duties:
- Demonstrates competency in the position of wound care including assessment, debridement, wound dressings, skin substitutes and hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
- Evaluates and manages patients for wound care and ensuring delivered care meets current standards of practice.
- Coordinates the patient plan of care with the physician and the facility’s clinical disciplines to address patient needs, evaluate the effectiveness of care, and assess changes to the patient medical condition to ensure healing outcome goals. ***If the person has wound care but not HBO, we would still consider them.
- Required Procedures: Top 5 are -
- Initial and existing patient care assessment
- Debridement
- Wound dressings
- Skin substitutes
- Hyperbaric oxygen treatment
- Types of Cases: Assessment and treatment of all types of non-healing wounds, burns, and delayed radiation injury.
- Patients Per Day: 28 average visits per day
- Support Staff: RN's, Patient Care Tech's
- Reason for Coverage: FT provider will be out on FMLA.
