Locum Opening for PA-C / APRN - Hospitalist Brattleboro, VT
Specialty: Hospitalist APP
Profession: PA / APRN Acute Care
Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-Based
Start: December 2026 and ongoing
Reason: Daytime hospitalist APP staffing need
Call: None
EMR: Cerner Community Works + AI scribe support
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- 100% in-person, in-hospital coverage
- No nights
- No weekends
- No call
Patient Volume & Acuity
- 8–10 patients/day
- 100% adult inpatient/observation
- Observation, inpatient floor, and intermediate/step-down level patients
- Must be comfortable stabilizing critically ill patients and arranging transfer to a tertiary-care facility
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage adult hospitalist admissions and inpatient/observation patients
- Respond to codes and rapid responses
- Manage step-down/intermediate-acuity patients
- Stabilize critically ill patients when needed
- Arrange higher-level-of-care transfers
- Ventilator management experience preferred
- Coordinate care and discharge planning

- Strong overnight hospitalist physician team

Requirements
- PA: Required certifications
- NP: Acute Care APRN required
- Vermont license: Required
- Experience: 2–3 years of adult inpatient/hospitalist medicine preferred
- Background: Clean background with no malpractice or license issues
- NPDB: Must be within 30 days at offer
