Hospitalist PA-C | Night Admissions | On-Site Physician | Philadelphia, PA

The Opportunity

Two APPs and a physician work the night admissions service together at Jeanes, clearing 12 to 15 admissions across the three of you. That ratio matters: you are not the lone overnight provider covering a building, and there is always an attending physically on site. No procedures. The ICU is closed and intensivist-covered. For a PA who wants real inpatient volume without being stranded, this is a well-built night line.

What You'll Own

• Night admissions alongside a second APP and an on-site physician — 12 to 15 admissions across the three providers.
• No procedures. This is admissions and medical decision-making.
• A closed ICU with intensivist coverage for anyone who deteriorates.
• Genuine backup. The physician is in the building all night, not on a phone at home.

Must-Haves

• PA-C (this role is not open to NPs)
• Pennsylvania license, or eligibility in process
• Comfort with inpatient admissions volume

Nice to Have

• Prior hospitalist or inpatient experience
• Epic familiarity
• Preference for a permanent night schedule

What Working Here Is Actually Like

• $130,000–$135,000 for a mix of days and nights; $140,000 for nights only.
• Full W-2 benefits. Medical, dental and vision from the first of the month after hire; employer-paid life at 1x salary up to $300,000; employer-paid long-term disability at 60% of salary; 401(k). The benefit plan year runs 1 October to 30 September.
• Malpractice and tail both covered. Tail is the one people forget to ask about until they leave.
• Epic throughout Temple Health.
• Free parking, meals and a physician lounge on site.
• Physician-owned and physician-managed since 2012. When you escalate a problem, it reaches a physician who still works clinical shifts.
• Not a locums agency. An ongoing program position with a named, stable team.

This role is PA-C only — not open to nurse practitioners. That's a site requirement rather than our preference, and we'd rather say it here than after you've applied. It is also a night line; the premium for nights-only reflects that.
