Position Overview

Niagara Hospitalist Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide urgent locums coverage for its Night Hospitalist team at Kenmore Hospital ER in Kenmore, NY.

This is an immediate need with the potential for ongoing coverage. The group supports all three Catholic Health hospitals and is looking for a strong APP who can step in quickly to help support the overnight team.

Coverage Needed

October:

• October 1–7
• October 15–18
• October 22–26

Additional coverage is anticipated throughout November and may extend beyond November 15, depending on staffing needs and leaves of absence.

Clinical Environment

This opportunity offers a highly attractive overnight practice setting:

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Closed ICU
• No procedures required
• No ventilator management
• No codes
• Work alongside two additional APPs on the night shift
• No crossover duties
• Strong, collaborative NP/PA team
• High patient volume consisting primarily of standard inpatient care
• EPIC experience is strongly preferred and nearly required

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Be an experienced NP or PA with hospitalist or inpatient medicine experience
• Be comfortable managing a high-volume inpatient setting
• Have strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively overnight
• Have EPIC experience
• Be available to provide consistent coverage for some or all of the October dates listed above
